Hello.
Archimedes’ Principle relates to the physics of buoyancy. The corollary, as we envision it, addresses the burden of unnecessary, accumulated stuff, and how it weighs us down.
We’ve started this blog to document the following project:
Every day for a year, we will each choose one possession, and we will get rid of it.
The objects will be recycled, given away, or tossed, as appropriate. The only rule is that the items have to be things that we honestly had intentions of keeping, or at least no plans to throw away. Consequently, the kind of stuff that comes and goes routinely does not qualify… mail-order catalogs, wine bottles, stale left-over pizza, etc.
We’re feeling lighter already.
Interesting catharsis of physical possessions.
I’ll keep an eye on this and see if I get any inspirations.
Thanks.
